What this actually is (and isn't)
"Aura points" started as a TikTok and meme-culture bit: people narrate ordinary moments — catching a falling glass, pushing a door clearly labeled pull — and slap an invented point total on them, as if a cosmic referee were keeping score. This calculator is that referee, formalized. It is a humor toy: every point value on this site was written for comedy, tuned only for laughs and internal consistency. Nothing here measures charisma, confidence or anything else real, and we will never pretend it does. If you want the trend explained properly, start with what are aura points?
How the scoring works
Each of the 30 scenarios carries a fixed value between -1,200 and +1,000. Your score is the plain sum of everything you check — no weighting, no randomness, no hidden multipliers. The list is balanced by design: the 16 positive scenarios add up to exactly +10,000, the 14 negative ones to exactly -10,000, and checking every single box lands you on a perfect 0, which feels philosophically correct. Your total maps onto a seven-tier ladder:
| Tier | Score range | Field notes |
|---|---|---|
| 💀 Aura Bankruptcy | -10,000 to -6,001 | The aura bank called. They want everything back. |
| 🧍 Certified NPC | -6,000 to -3,001 | You exist so the plot can happen to other people. |
| 🫥 Background Character | -3,000 to -1 | Technically visible in the group photo. |
| 😐 Unranked Civilian | 0 to +1,499 | Perfectly balanced. The universe has no opinion of you yet. |
| ✨ Side Character With a Fanbase | +1,500 to +3,999 | People notice when you leave the room. Some even say bye. |
| 🎬 Main Character | +4,000 to +6,999 | The camera finds you. Doors open — the right way. |
| 🌾 Aura Farmer | +7,000 to +10,000 | You don't gain aura anymore. Aura gains you. |
The boundaries are deliberately asymmetric: it takes only a few good moments to become a Side Character, but Aura Farmer status demands a nearly flawless run. That is the meme's actual physics — aura is easy to lose and absurdly hard to farm.
Three worked examples
The gym redemption arc
You hit a new PR alone and celebrate with a single silent nod (+850), then rescue a stranger's failing bench press without being asked (+800). Unfortunately, you also dramatically dropped the dumbbells and they were 5s (-1,000). Net: +650. Tier: Unranked Civilian. The universe saw the fives. The universe always sees the fives.
The Monday disaster speedrun
Pushed a pull door in front of a full waiting room (-1,030), told the waiter "you too" (-600), delivered a passionate speech on mute (-450), but silently fixed the projector nobody could fix (+500). Net: -1,580. Tier: Background Character. The projector save kept you out of NPC territory — this is why you always fix the projector.
The main character day
One perfectly timed line that made the whole group laugh (+1,000), answered correctly while half asleep (+1,000), whiteboard marker worked first try (+900), left the party at the exact right moment (+750), and caught something falling without reacting (+500). Net: +4,150. Tier: Main Character. Five scenes, zero fumbles — a genuinely rare speedrun.
What people use this for
- Group-chat tribunals. Someone describes their day, the chat scores it, the card is the verdict.
- Story posts. The 1080×1920 card exists precisely because vertical formats are where this meme lives.
- Icebreakers. "Check your week" is a faster personality reveal than any actual icebreaker question.
- Settling arguments about whether pushing a pull door is worse than waving at the wrong person. (It is. By 610 points. We checked, because we wrote the numbers.)
- Procrastination with a scoreboard. No notes.

Want the raw data? The complete aura points list has all 30 scenarios and values in one table. Connoisseurs of failure should head straight to the negative aura hall of shame, where the deductions get the commentary they deserve. And if someone sent you this link and you have no idea what any of it means, what are aura points? explains the trend honestly — as a joke, because that is what it is.
